Old Petrie Town is owned by the YMCA and this year the YMCA in Brisbane is celebrating 145 years of service to the community. The YMCA of Brisbane is a values-driven organisation providing a broad range of community services including child care, community fitness, sport and recreation, camping, youth services, and accredited training.
In May 2009 the YMCA proudly opened a 52 unit affordable housing complex at Nerang. This is the first affordable housing project for the YMCA in Australia and is a result of a long-term partnership between the YMCA of Brisbane and the Queensland Department of Housing. Old Petrie Town is proud to be a part of this project and many more.
